“A career in industrial construction supplies never crossed my mind. I thought it was going to be a three-month internship, but all these years later, I’m still with the company.
I attended a local college, needed a paid internship during my junior year, and met Jeff Hicks at the career fair. I interviewed with him and got the offer to work part-time over the summer in 2002. During my senior year, our assistant manager moved to Florida with the company. Jeff called and asked if I wanted to be the Assistant General Manager. I accepted and began my full-time career with Fastenal while finishing school. A year later, a General Manager positon became available in Goshen, Indiana. Same story, Jeff called, and I took on that challenge growing sales from mid-30’s to $200,000. Two and a half years later, I got the nod from Randy Miller for a District Manager position in Northern Indiana. I did that for 14 years, until accepting the VP role for the region on January 1st, 2019.”
